Frequently Asked Questions
How long do your DJs play for?
This depends on the pakage you booked.
We like to call it ‘reasonable length of the event’. That’s means it doesn't matter if you reception is 3 hours or 6 hours, we will play for the entire reception.
We also have packages that include ceremony and canape music.
Do you bring your own equipment?
YES... We supply everything we need. Desks, Speakers, Music, Lighting and microphones. All included in the price
Do you supply dance floor lights? Or is it an extra cost?
All our DJ/MC packages include party lights.
We do have special lighting effects that can be added, along with Fog, Smoke and Bubble effects.
Do you supply Microphones for speeches?
Absoluely YES. All our DJ systems have top quality wireless microphone for you to use.
Do you perform at same sex weddings?
Yes.. Wedding Sounds is a supporter of Marriage Equality. We are overjoyed that ALL Australians are now able to celebrate this amazing life event, and have their loved recognised by law..
Do your DJs drink during their show?
NO… Wedding Sounds has a VERY strict No Alcohol policy. With the one exception of, a glass of champaign for toasting.
Can we pick which one of your team we have?
Subject to availability of that team member, Yes.
Do you have a DJ only option?
Yes, we are happy to chat about a DJ only option if you already have a professional MC taking care of all the MC duties both on and off the mic.
How far do you travel?
Because are team are from all over Melbourne & even Geelong. Our travel radius is really big. If by chance you are having a wedding REALLY far away. We are usually happy to travel for a small extra fee.
What do your DJ/MCs wear?
All our DJs wear suits during their performance..
Can we pick the music we want played?
Yes. We discuss every aspect of your special day, and find out what you want to hear and what songs are needed for the ‘special moments’. This is done with phone/zoom meeting and via our online planning portal.
How long prior to reception does the DJ arrive?
Our entertainers usually arrive at least two hours prior to the guests arrival.
How much is your deposit?
Our deposit is just 10% of the total fee.
When does final balance need to paid?
The final balance is due between 2-4 weeks before the big day.
And yes we have payment plans if you would like to pay your balance off over time.
